I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 this past weekend with some friends of ours. My first impressions of it are that it’s so much different than the other movies. This movie started off very good and exciting. You get to see some really cool magic right away, you get to see a lot of major characters as well. Then after maybe the first half hour it started to go downhill for me. I think the major thing that is different is that they never go to Hogwarts school of magic. They do show other kids going to the school but that’s it. I do think they could have easily cut 15-30 minutes out of this movie and you wouldn’t have lost much. So much of it has these long drawn out parts of them waiting in a forest, traveling, and just being completely miserable. This is the kind of stuff you shouldn’t be doing exactly like the book. Now I did continuously remind myself throughout that watching this movie is sort of like watching the first half of a movie because there is a whole second part to see. When thinking about it like that I’m not really sure you can compare this to a typical film. All in all though I think it’s very good, has the typical scary and fun elements that we have become accustomed to with Harry Potter, but this is definitely the darkest and saddest one to date. I haven’t read all the books yet but I’m hoping the second part doesn’t let us all down.
A while back I became slightly obsessed with customizing my Playstation 3 with He-man stuff. I went looking online and as usual there was nothing for He-man that has already been made by fans. So I decided that it would likely be ME who had to make the stuff to do just that. One of the first things I did was look up He-man themes. There was only one out there and it was really bad. Someone didn’t take the time to think it through and it looked very amateurish. I went with their look but changed it and made all of my own custom buttons for the theme. This required use of photoshop for styling but also other programs to create the actual P3T file needed to use in the actual PS3 system. Many hours of several days later I had finished my theme, or least version 1.0 of it. So after doing so I posted it online to the various free PS3 theme websites like allps3themes.com and bestps3themes.com. Here is the file in case you would like to use the theme yourself, ( He-man_Classic.p3t ). Here is an example of what the theme will look like if loaded on your PS3.
The next thing I did was much simpler, I took a few images scanned from the He-man DVDs and combined them to use on a PS3 controller skin cover. Here is the image that I created that you can also download and use as well for this same purpose. If you use this make sure to use the non-cutout version (the one on the left) so they don’t have to cut it so precise. If you send them the other one it will most likely come out looking terrible.
So I was looking around today trying to find pictures of other fiests out there. Some stranger told me once while seeing Onyx at a Gallatin event that she looked just like a feist. Ever since I’ve told people that she is probably a feist mix but I still don’t know for sure because Onyx was a pound puppy. For those who don’t know Onyx very well, she is the best dog that I could have picked up. As far as I know her birthday is likely around the middle to end of October and this year she will be turning 8 years old. I’ve already noticed she’s getting a little gray hair on her chin and she does a lot of moaning an groaning if you make her move while she’s snuggled up in a blanket or something. So anyways I decided to look around for pictures of feists. Here are just a few pictures I quickly found that look an awful lot like Onyx today or when she was very young.
Now to be clear, none of these pictures are of Onyx, but they all look a whole lot like her. I’m going to add a couple other pictures to the bottom here as well so you can clearly see just how much they all look alike. Onyx clearly has feist like features because when you look on Google these are 3 of the pictures that pull up. Feists apparently have many types of fur coloring they can be and they also vary anywhere from 10-30 pounds, which Onyx weighs about 25. She’s very well tempered and a great loyal friend to all just like feists are described as. So I think this makes the case that Onyx is a feist. I’ve told many people this is what she seems to be but now you can clearly see for yourself that she must be mostly feist.
